On Saturday, Ruby and I started our day in Geumsan where we live. As we were walking down from the apartment, she pointed out some places that were important. Then we had brunch at her favorite pork back soup place. It was very delicious. I didn't take pictures since I was too tired but I will start to take more pictures. She showed me around the square of Geumsan which took about 10 minutes tops. Haha. Not much in Geumsan. Then she showed me how to get a bus pass and put money into it. It cost 1000 won to ride the bus. We took the bus into Jinju City where the main shopping location/cinema is. The first that we went to was the pharmacy cuz I felt sick. I bought medicine for indigestion and a cold which only cost me 4000 won (about 4 US dollars). We walked around the main shopping area trying to find THE FACESHOP (My favorite makeup store in the world) but we couldn't find it. So we caught the taxi to E-MART which is like a Wal-mart but way better. I didn't last very long there so we took the taxi home to take a nap.
That night we got ready to go to a bar for Eve's going away party in the university area in Jinju. But before that we ate at a Korean fried rice place. It was spicy but delicious and they even cook it in front of you for you.
They first cook the chicken
And TADA!
We found a FACESHOP in the area so i went in and got my toner and cleansing wipes. Yay! We finally got to the bar and met some of the other foreigners (white ppl) that teach in the Jinju area. Let's just say they were more of a cultural shock for Ruby and I. Everyone was drinking expensive cocktails but I went straight for my friend Heiniken! We didn't really mingle with anyone other than Ruby's coworker Korean Girl whose English name is Emma. She's older so I threw out the "Eonni, yippo (Older sister, you're pretty) which is my go to line for older korean girls that makes them like you. We also did talk to one white guy there. But, Ruby said that he's strange. Whatever. There was a cute University Korean guy that hangs out with the foreigners who Ruby calls Honey because it's similar to his Korean name. But, I was too shy to talk to him. I did accidentally walk into the boy's bathroom (because there was no sign) and found him washing his hands (thank god). I apologized profusely. We didn't last long here either cuz we were just too tired. So instead of going to another bar with Eve, we caught the taxi home. I was planning to take a shower after I got home but totally knocked out in my dress, full makeup on while Ruby was in the bathroom.
